What We Believe   Bible Baptist Church is a local, autonomous, Bible-believing congregation preaching, teach­ing, and practicing the Biblical principles of a New Testament church as taught in the word of God.   The Bible We believe the absolute, sole, authoritative rule for faith and practice is the perfect, preserved word of God, which, for English-speaking people, is the AV 1611, King James Bible (Psa. 12:6-7).   Jesus Christ We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious death for sinners, His literal bodily resurrection and His literal bodily return to this earth to reign for a thousand years (1 Tim. 3: 16).   Good Works We believe that any religious person who de­pends upon the sacraments or the golden rule or the church or the ten commandments to justify himself before God will be condemned at the White Throne Judgment and banished to the Lake of Fire for trusting their righteousness instead of Jesus Christ's righteousness (Rom. 4:5).   Baptism We believe that water baptism for the regen­erated believer is immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (Matt. 28:19).   Church Ordinances Baptism and the Lord's Supper constitute the only two Scriptural ordinances for the church, but neither has any saving power (Luke 22:19).   The Way of Salvation You Need to be Saved "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" (Rom. 3:10). "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23).   There is a Penalty for Sin-­Eternal Death "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Rom. 6:23). "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27).   God's Provision for Your Sinful Condition--Jesus Christ "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever belie­veth in him should not perish, but have ever­lasting life" (John 3:16). "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8).   You can be Saved--Right Now "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in the thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom. 10:910) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Rom. 10:13).   Please be Saved--Now Pray and ask the Lord, "Lord Jesus, be mer­ciful to me a sinner, and save me. I now, with a repentant heart, receive you as my personal Saviour."   Eternal Security We believe in the eternal security of the be­liever as part of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we subscribe to a mild dis­pensationalism when dealing with those verses that seem to teach otherwise (John 10:28) Separation We believe that Christians should attempt to live godly lives and separate themselves as much as possible from the world and its lusts and entanglements. They should encourage and minister to one another and give liberally to the support of any Bible-believing ministry that is actively winning people to Jesus Christ (Rom. 12:1).   Church and State We believe in absolute separation of church and state and that the state has no business dictating to any local church how they should conduct their services, ministries, business, or property matters (Acts 5:29).   Second Coming of Jesus Christ We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth to catch out His "bride" before Daniel's Seventieth Week (the "Time of Jacob's Troubles) takes place and that He will return after the "Marriage of the Lamb" to reign over the "House of Jacob" at Jerusalem on the "Throne of David" (John 14:3)   Please accept our warmest invitation to come hear the preaching of the word of God with us at Bible Baptist Church International.
